Well, we are glad to have Vintage 2010 all pressed out and barreled down.  All the wines are now in house.  As you may have heard, it was a challenging year.  Our vineyard crop came in with yields 30% lower than usual, mostly due to the huge clouds of migratory birds that descended on the vineyard in the weeks prior to picking.  The young wines that we do have are delicious.  Special thanks to our crew and the party pig of Oregon Trail Hopdoctor for helping us to get thru.  Please visit Tyee Wine Cellars this coming Thanksgiving Holiday Weekend to help us celebrate another great Oregon Harvest!  Cheers!

Harvest is coming and we are getting ready.  What a beautiful time of year.  Our Tasting Room is Open Weekends Noon to 5pm. 

Well the weather is starting to warm up in the Willamette Valley and the sun is shining on the vineyard and farm while also supplying 100% of Tyee's power at the winery through solar panels.  Tyee's Tasting room is open Extended hours, Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays all Summer long with plenty of opportunity to enjoy winetasting and scenery and Special Events at Tyee Wine Cellars and the Buchanan Family Century Farm.

Lots of purple Native flowers blooming in the woodlands and wetlands at Tyee including larkspur, lupine, iris, and camas.  Lots of Special Events including Mother's Day and Memorial Day Weekend.  Memorial Day Monday is one of our biggest bashes of the year with the Ty Curtis Band in Concert at Tyee and Horsedrawn Hayrides on the scenic Buchanan Family Century Farm.  Great Fun for the Whole Family plus Special Discounts and New Release Tyee Estate Wine.

It's Springtime at Tyee Wine Cellars.  The Farmscape is quickly awakening, the Estate Vineyard budding out.  The Big, 150 year old Apple Tree in front of Tyee's Tasting Room is blooming lovely, fragrant, pink apple blossoms and humming with the activity of bees.  Tyee Wine Cellars has reopened to Celebrate our 25th season in Business.  We are currently Open on the Weekends to welcome your friends and family with longer summertime hours and Special Events soon to follow.

February is the month of lovers and Pinot noir.  In the vineyard, we are in the midst of winter pruning, enjoying being outside in the weather watching, listening to geese fly over.  Also many ducks in the pond and eagles and birds of prey in the sky.  In the winery, we are blending, racking '08 Tyee Estate Pinot noir, and checking on new '09 whites, a pleasurable task.  Paperwork, planning and a wine conference to round out the work.

It's been 10 years since we first did the layout and got a Tyee Wine Cellars website online.  We just released our new Tyee website, a more modern version complete with shopping cart for wine orders and a newsletter signup.  Cheers to 10 years Online with many more to come...
